Sunday, 8 November 2026, 20:00 – 21:30
Place
Nuenen, H. Clemenskerk, Park 53, Nuenen
Price
25 €

🎶 An evening of choral and chamber classics in the church of Nuenen, where every ticket becomes help for Ukraine. Alongside Fauré and Rossini, you will hear the accordion of Ukrainian musician Oleh Lysenko, who performs without a fee.

Conductor Tom Suijters brings Projectkoor Lux Aeterna and Valkenswaards Kamerorkest to the stage. They are joined by pianist Rob van Heck, harpist Inge Frimout, soprano Hatice Aydoğan, and Ramon van den Boom on harpsichord and harmonium.

🎼 What you will hear:

  • Cantique de Jean Racine by Gabriel Fauré as the opening
  • Kyrie and Credo from Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, with the intermezzo from Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana between them
  • after the interval, the first part of GULAG by Viktor Vlasov, Lysenko's own Rainbow, and Piazzolla's Libertango
  • St. Joris Mis by Herman Finkers, interwoven with accordion pieces

The second part of the evening is about memory, hope and resilience.

💛💙 All proceeds go to the Music for Ukraine foundation, founded by Lysenko. It will be used to buy ambulances, dental equipment and other medical supplies. The goal of the whole concert series is to raise at least 3,000 euros.

🎟 A ticket costs 25 euros, and it must be bought in advance online. In the form, you choose the number of tickets separately for each concert in the series, so before paying make sure you have selected Nuenen. E-tickets arrive by email right after payment. The concert lasts about an hour and a half, and doors open one hour before the start. Seating is unnumbered, and from some seats the stage is harder to see, so it is better to arrive early.
