Terms of use
Updated: 23 October 2026
UA Events is an events listing for the Ukrainian community in the Netherlands. By using the site you agree to these terms.
1. Information «as is»
Announcements are collected from public sources (public channels, websites, the submission form) and are provided «as is». We try to verify the details but do not guarantee their completeness or accuracy. The organiser is responsible for the date, time, venue, price, content and any cancellation. Please check the details on the official page before you go.
2. Submitting events and businesses
By submitting something via the form, you confirm that you have the right to publish the text and images provided and that they do not infringe the rights of third parties. We moderate submissions and may reject or edit them at our discretion.
The same applies to book reviews and book suggestions: they are published after moderation with the name you gave.
3. Removing or correcting content (procedure)
If you are an organiser and want to correct or remove your event, or believe that material infringes your rights (in particular copyright), please use the contact form. For quick handling, please include:
- The link to the event on our site (the address of the event page).
- What you want — a correction (and what exactly) or complete removal.
- Who you are — organiser, rights holder or representative; if needed, a short confirmation of your connection to the event.
- A contact address for our reply (email).
We handle the request and remove or correct the material within 5 working days. Urgent cases (a wrong date or a cancellation) we try to resolve faster. You will receive a confirmation by email.
4. Liability and automated processing
UA Events is an aggregator platform, not an event organiser. We are not liable for the content of third-party material, external links, the actions of organisers or businesses, or the consequences of attending events. External links are provided for convenience.
Some announcements are compiled automatically, partly with the help of artificial intelligence (date recognition, shortening descriptions, translation). Inaccuracies are therefore possible. The official source is always the organiser's page — please check it before you go.
Titles and descriptions of events, businesses and books are automatically translated into English and Dutch. In case of differences, the original Ukrainian text prevails.
5. Ticket sales
UA Events acts as an intermediary (marketplace). When you buy a ticket, the purchase agreement is concluded between you (the buyer) and the event organiser (the seller), not with UA Events. The organiser is responsible for the event, the validity of the tickets and any refunds.
Payment is handled by our payment service provider Stripe. On top of the ticket price we charge a platform service fee; you see the total amount before paying. The ticket with a QR code is sent by email right after payment. Show it at the entrance of the event.
Withdrawal and refunds. The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance sales does not apply by law (art. 6:230p of the Dutch Civil Code / EU Consumer Rights Directive) to tickets for leisure activities on a specific date. Tickets are therefore non-refundable, except when the organiser cancels the event or substantially changes the date/venue. In that case the ticket price is refunded; the service fee (which includes the payment system costs) is not refunded. The refund is arranged by the organiser, and we help carry it out through the payment system.
Organiser obligations. A registered organiser provides correct information, admits holders of valid tickets, handles refunds promptly in case of cancellation, complies with applicable law and is solely responsible for taxes and contributions on ticket sales.
6. Organiser portal
An organiser can create a free account and post their own events. By signing up, you confirm that you are entitled to act on behalf of the organisation and that you provide correct information. Every event from the portal is published on behalf of the organiser and signed with their name.
Events go through a short moderation; for trusted organisers we may enable automatic publication. We may reject an event and, in case of a breach of these terms or the law, suspend or close an account. You are responsible for the content of your events and for keeping your password safe.
7. Registration for free events
For free events, UA Events gives the organiser a registration tool: a form, QR tickets, a waiting list, a door scanner and an attendee list. The organiser receives attendees' details (name, email, form answers) and uses them solely to organise their events.
Messages from the organiser to attendees are sent only after our administrators have checked them. An attendee can cancel their registration or leave the waiting list at any time via the link in the email.
8. Governing law and changes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. We may update the terms; the current version is always on this page with the date at the top. By continuing to use the site after changes, you accept the updated terms.
9. Contact
Questions about the site, events or data — via the contact form. How we process personal data is described in the Privacy policy.
