🎨 Two hours in which your child will photograph their own stories and turn them into a real little book to take home. The zine-making workshop will be led by Hanna Hrabarska as part of the program Power of Words: Odesa City Letters at OBA Oosterdok.
📚 A zine is a small magazine or book made by hand. It is a simple way to bring together pictures and your own ideas and keep them in a publication you can flip through again and again.
🧒 What to expect:
- a short introduction to what a zine is and how it is made
- children photograph their stories
- they turn the photos into a personal little book
- all materials are provided by the organizer
The session combines photography and storytelling with the theme of the exhibition: how words and images preserve cultural memory. The exhibition itself, featuring Ukrainian literary posters and textile works by Serhiy Rovynskyi, was organized by Kastanje and OBA Amsterdam.
📝 This session is for children aged 6 to 12. A separate session for participants aged 13 and older will take place later the same day, so choose a time according to age. Registration is required. Entry to the exhibition is free, while the price of the workshop itself and the language of instruction are not specified. It is worth checking these details with Kastanje in advance.
