Serhiy Zhadan, "Country. Kharter. Poems"

Serhiy Zhadan will hold charity readings in Europe
Poet, writer, musician, public figure and serviceman of the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine "Kharter" Serhiy Zhadan is setting off on a charity tour of European cities, "Country. Kharter. Poems". 100% of the tour's proceeds will go to charity.
The new special programme "Country. Kharter. Poems" will include conversations about life, Kharkiv, the army and, of course, the author's poetry readings, including from his new collection of poems, prose and graphics "Hymns of the Baroque Wars", which he will present at the events.
"We want to tell you about the experience and philosophy of Kharter, about the people who make history and build a new country," Serhiy Zhadan explains. "We will not give lectures or engage in propaganda. It is important and valuable to us to talk about what we live by, what keeps us going, about the feeling of strength and confidence. At these meetings we want to see 'our own' people: those who share our values and principles, who do not give up what matters most, are not afraid of the future and have not lost the ability to believe and to love."
The events will feature a charity auction with unique lots, including artwork by Serhiy Zhadan. A book stall of the Meridian Czernowitz publishing house will also be open.
