Tosca — Ukraine Chamber Opera and Francis van Broekhuizen (Alkmaar)

🎭 One of Puccini's most dramatic operas performed by a Ukrainian ensemble: Ukraine Chamber Opera brings Tosca to Alkmaar, with the title role sung by the renowned Dutch soprano Francis van Broekhuizen. It is a chance to hear soloists from Ukrainian opera theatres on the same stage with her.

Rome, 1800. A singer finds herself caught between love, jealousy and political power, and every character has to make difficult decisions. The staging is compact, so the focus stays on Puccini's music and the story itself.
