Tosca — Ukraine Chamber Opera and Francis van Broekhuizen (Spijkenisse)

🎭 Puccini's Tosca performed by a Ukrainian company: Ukraine Chamber Opera brings one of the most passionate operas in the repertoire to Spijkenisse. The title role is sung by the renowned Dutch soprano Francis van Broekhuizen, joined on stage by soloists from Ukrainian opera theatres.

Rome, 1800. A singer finds herself caught between love, jealousy and political power, and every decision she makes comes at a price. The production focuses on the relationships between the characters and their difficult choices. The set design is deliberately compact, so the focus stays on Puccini's music and the unfolding story.

🎶 Who is on stage:

• Francis van Broekhuizen as Tosca
• tenor Maxime Vorocek as Cavaradossi
• soloists from Ukrainian opera theatres
• an orchestra of musicians from different countries
