Tosca — Ukraine Chamber Opera and Francis van Broekhuizen (Tiel)

🎭 Tosca by Puccini, one of the most gripping operas in the repertoire, performed by Ukraine Chamber Opera. The title role is sung by Dutch soprano Francis van Broekhuizen, joined on stage by soloists from Ukrainian opera theatres.

Rome, 1800. A singer finds herself caught between love, jealousy and political power, and every decision the characters make costs them dearly. The production focuses on the relationships between the characters. The set design is compact, so the music and the unfolding story remain at the centre.

🎶 Good to know:

• tenor Maxime Vorocek as Cavaradossi
• an orchestra of international musicians
• music director Jeroen Weierink, director Marc Krone
• musical highlights include the arias Vissi d'arte and E lucevan le stelle

For those who miss the Ukrainian opera stage, this is a chance to hear our soloists alongside a well-known Dutch singer.

🎟 A standard ticket costs 46 €, with the CJP rate at 43,50 €. Tickets must be booked in advance on the theatre's page. It is also worth checking seat availability and possible additional fees there.
