Power of Words: Odesa City Letters Exhibition

🎨 Ukrainian poetry turned into posters and textiles: Power of Words: Odesa City Letters shows how words about freedom, dignity and the right to be yourself become visual art. The project has already been seen in New York, Copenhagen and Kyiv, and now it has arrived in Amsterdam.

📚 What's in the exhibition:

• 56 works on the border of typography and poster art, from paper to fabric
• 15 new works from 2026, shown for the first time
• 2 exclusive works about the dialogue between two port cities, Odesa and Amsterdam
• poems by different generations, from classics of Ukrainian literature to contemporary authors who are now defending Ukraine at the front

The exhibition will open with a festive event and will run at the OBA Oosterdok library until 10 January, so you can come whenever it suits you. The project was realized with the support of Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst.

🎟 Admission is free.
