📖✨ Behind the Scenes of Stories

Workshop for children aged 7–10 with author Yuliia Laktionova and illustrator Polina Doroshenko

🦸 The world is full of millions of stories and heroes. Some fly, some hide under the bed, some save the kingdom or simply look for a friend. They are all very different, but if you look closely, they have a lot in common. The same goes for fairy tales: they seem different, but they often tell us about something familiar — friendship, fear, courage, good and evil.

📝 At the workshop we will talk about how heroes and books are born, from the first idea and draft to a character on the page. We will read and play. Then everyone will make their own game-book and populate it with their own heroes and heroes from different stories. It will be interesting to see what happens when they meet.

🎁 At the end, all participants will receive «Boek voor jou» as a gift — a collection of stories and poems by Dutch authors, from Jip en Janneke to Gorgels. So that the adventures with the heroes continue at home too.

The workshop is part of European Authors Day.
