Donations to organizers — no platform fee
Guests can support an organizer on the event page or together with a ticket. UA Events takes nothing from donations.
Organizers with Stripe connected can now accept donations.
What guests see
- A “Support the organizer” block on the event page, for both free and paid events. Amount buttons (€3, €5, €10, €20 or your own) and an “Other amount” from €2 to €500.
- When buying a ticket, an optional “Add a donation to the organizer” in the same payment.
- Pay with iDEAL or card, no registration needed, just your name and email for the receipt.
How much the organizer receives
The platform takes no fee from donations, only the payment provider does. With one checkbox, a guest can cover that fee themselves, and then the organizer receives the full donation amount. For example, for a €50 donation via iDEAL without covering the fee, the organizer receives ≈ €49.71. With the fee covered, the guest pays €50.29 and the organizer receives exactly €50.
For your accountant
Your dashboard has a new “Finance” section: tickets and donations separately, totals, CSV and Excel exports, and an annual PDF report.
To turn on donations: dashboard → “My page” → “Donations”. Details are in the “Knowledge Base”.
