ORPHEUS — "Magical Christmas Concert"

🎶 Eight voices and not a single instrument: the Lviv ensemble ORPHEUS brings a Christmas a cappella programme to the Netherlands. It is a chance to hear the Ukrainian vocal tradition live, in the intimate atmosphere of an old church.

The group was founded in Lviv in 2000. It consists of eight professional singers who combine rich polyphony with expressive solo parts. The ensemble has toured Europe and has performed, among other venues, at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and De Doelen in Rotterdam.

🎄 The repertoire includes:

• Orthodox sacred music
• Ukrainian folk and popular songs
• Christmas pieces
• international vocal classics

The organisers have not published an exact list of pieces, so the programme will be a surprise.

⛪ Please note: the concert will not take place at the Het Punt theatre, but at the Catholic church Sint Willibrorduskerk in Geerdijk. It will last about two hours.

🎟 The ticket costs €22.50. Registration required.
