Tosca — Ukraine Chamber Opera and Francis van Broekhuizen (Zoetermeer)

🎭 One of Puccini's most passionate operas, Tosca, performed by the Ukrainian company Ukraine Chamber Opera. The title role is sung by the renowned Dutch soprano Francis van Broekhuizen, and this is a rare chance to hear Ukrainian opera soloists on stage alongside her.

Rome, 1800. A singer finds herself caught between love, jealousy and political power, and every character has to make difficult decisions. The stage design is compact, so the focus stays on Puccini's music and the unfolding story.

🎶 What to expect:

• soloists from Ukrainian opera theatres, including tenor Maxime Vorocek as Cavaradossi
• an orchestra with musicians from different countries
• the famous arias Vissi d'arte and E lucevan le stelle
• musical director Jeroen Weierink, stage director Marc Krone

🎟 A ticket costs €49.50 and includes a drink. The performance lasts about two hours. Tickets must be bought in advance on the theatre's website. It is also where you should check seat availability and possible extra fees.

📚 You can add an introductory lecture when ordering. Its time and price have not yet been confirmed. The theatre has also not yet specified the language of the performance or whether surtitles will be available.
